חֶסֶד

Origin: Hebrew

Anglicised Spelling:     Chesed


Definition: חֶסֶד means 'benevolence' or 'charity' in Hebrew, but is often rendered as 'mercy' in Hermetic Qabalistic texts. It is the name of the fourth Sephirah of the Qabalistic Tree of Life.
